Values Exercise Ying-Yang

Values are different from goals because while a goal can be met or checked off, living your values is a consistent practice that guides behavior on an ongoing basis. There's no "right" or "wrong" value, and values don't need to match what you think others want from you.

Consider the list of values below and narrow down your top 3-4 most important values. If you choose to interact with the form here, print this page to save your thoughts.

Consider for each value (they don't have to be in order)

Remember: Small actions are more attainable, less daunting, and are more likely to build towards an ongoing practice.

What is the value?

Why is this value so important to you?

What does living a life aligned with this value look like to you? (Consider your relationships, work life, and other important areas of your life.)

Reflect on your daily life: what are some ways you are already living by this value and what are some ways you could improve?
